Pack management | dog communication & body language | aggression in all its forms: what it means, how to prevent it, and what to do about it | safety and fight protocols | basic training: build reliable sits, recalls, and polite leash behavior | client and dog screening | public relations | small business practices | liability protection | marketing | increasing profits | legalizing your business
The course is taught through lecture, video analysis, demos, hands-on exercises, and fieldtrips.
Instructors
Lisa Waggoner, CPDT-KA, PMCT-2, is the founder of Cold Nose College and a trainer and behavior consultant to clients throughout the southeast. She’s a regular dog training columnist for the Cherokee Scout Newspaper, a DVD Reviewer for The APDT Chronicle of the Dog, a contributor to the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers newsletter, and a dog∗tec Certified Dog Walker.
Brad Waggoner, CPDT-KA, KPA-CTP, is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT) and a graduate of the Karen Pryor Academy of Animal Training & Behavior (KPA) and is a KPA Certified Training Partner (CTP), a dog∗tec Certified Dog Walker, and a veteran dog trainer and teacher.
