In addition to some pre-planned warm up exercises, students will have the opportunity to continue working on a shaping exercise of their choice. Ideas are boundless!

Think about something fun you’d like your dog to be able to do and bring that prop with you.
• Ideas are: chin target a book, retrieving your keys or remote control or other object, grabbing a tissue when you sneeze, carrying a purse or basket, putting toys in a toy box, riding a skateboard, pushing a stroller, getting in a suitcase and shutting the lid, or rolling up in a blanket.
• You’ll also be learning how to enhance your training sessions through the use of effective data tracking to insure you always set your dog up for success
If you’re interested in honing your shaping skills, this one-day workshop is for you. This is an intermediate to advanced workshop and students should already have a good grasp of clicker training and understanding of shaping techniques. Because there’s both science and art o effectively using shaping as a training technique, we’ll be helping you learn the right mix to help your dog gain success. You’ll learn ng further information about how to take a final goal behavior, break it into small pieces and then effectively reinforcing each one toward that final goal. You’ll gain additional information on how to accurately track training data so that you and your dog are successful.
