Brad has just returned from Maryland where he spent a week in an intensive Level 1 Intern Academy at Peaceable Paws. The week focused on the theoretical and practical application of the scientific principles of behavior and learning in the world of dog training. Each student in the class of eight worked with a previously untrained dog from the Washington County Humane Society. Working under the guidance of Pat Miller, owner of Peaceable Paws, the students took their dogs through a basic good manners training program. Attendees were coached on a variety training and handling skills which produced not only a more well mannered dog, but one who was eager to learn as well.
We are proud to report that Brad scored top in the class in the final practical exam where dog and handler exhibited their proficiency with the training techniques learned.
