Nose Games – Fun Scent Work for Any Dog!

The Nose Knows!

Prerequisite: A dog with a nose!
Location:  Cold Nose College Training & Education Center, Murphy, NC  (map)                Dates:  Monday, January 13 at 1:00 pm (6 consecutive weeks)

Why: This class allows any dog to succeed!  Puppies, young dogs, old dogs, geriatric dogs, blind dogs, reactive dogs, ALL dogs can play.  It can help build confidence and is fabulous for expending mental and physical energy. Great for rainy days, snowy days, any days! Dogs have up to 100 times as many olfactory receptors as we humans.  They “see” the world with their nose, while we see the world with our eyes.  This isn’t just for hounds, such as drug and bomb detection dogs,ALL dogs have this amazing ability….and that means YOUR very own dog.

What You Learn:  You’ll learn to appreciate the keen sense of your dog’s scenting ability and learn how to observe your dog and notice the subtle signs your dog shows when he’s found “the hide.”  Whether you plan to compete in the formal sport of canine nose work or just have nose games fun in your home and backyard, you and your dog will love this class!
